Is Greennibbles Farm a certified organic farm?: NO
For years we were certified with CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers.) We dropped out of CCOF year because of the cost.
Below are listed some of our current farm practices. Our ways are no different than when we were certified.
Fertilization: No chemical fertilizers. We use manure and compost made from our manure.
Pest control: For our few pest outbreaks we use OMRI materials, just like when we were with CCOF.
Weed control: We use chemicals. Our practices are the same my grandparents used and the same used when we were with CCOF. I spent much of this week in the field on my knees pulling weeds.
I love this way... This pace... Our ways are much different than those used on the typical farm. (But then my ways wouldn't work on most farms, because these ways take a long time.)
