2/3/2023-We're now into serious cut-flower growing...along with our other crops. At the moment the blossoms we have are wild flowers (our weeds), because our regular flowers are not in the field yet. Shown above are some of our weeds Magenta Spreen, Fiddle neck, Brittlebush, Sour Grass (Oxalis) and London Rocket. These wild beauties are in these glass of water because I'm measuring the vase life for each of these five flowers.
Spring-Here are a few of our first flowers. The orange flowers are calendula. The others are ranunculus. Each day There are more to pick. This is new for me and I'm having lots of fun.
Who would have thought that flowers can be so beautiful? What a contrast between a ranunculus flower and my humble weed flowers.
